- Baseboards, door frames, doors, and light switch plates wiped by hand
- Walls spot-cleaned for scuffs, handprints, and the marks furniture leaves behind
- Ceiling fans, light fixtures, and vent covers dusted
- Closets emptied, shelves wiped, floors and tracks cleaned
- Windows inside, including sills and tracks — sandy tracks are a giveaway in a coastal home
- Floors vacuumed and mopped last, edges and corners included
The Ones People Forget
Patching nail holes. The washer and dryer, inside and behind. The garage floor and its cobwebs. Replacing burned-out bulbs and a filthy AC filter — both cheap, both frequently deducted for. Sliding door tracks. And the lanai or patio, which in Northeast Florida almost always needs a rinse and wipe after a season outdoors.
